Hand dyed with Madder Roots and Marigolds from our dye garden, this 1 oz ball of Valais Blacknose wool roving will be an exciting spinning or felting experience. Valais wool is a long staple length, a lustrous and strong fiber and makes a drapey yarn, a sturdy felt, a wonderful add-in to your other fiber if you choose to blend it. We raise Valais Blacknose sheep on our farm in Vermont alongside a variety of other breeds and love their long, strong and silky fiber to make stunning DK weight yarns. It’s also a stunning weaving fiber.

The variegation of light marigold and madder roots is an overall effect of light brick, terracotta, and butter tones.
